In May 2022, we had the opportunity to reflect on and discuss possible solutions in a comprehensive way from 5 clinical cases (João, Maria, Mara, Roberto and Selma's cases) with 50 medical students from the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre - UFCSPA, 2nd year / 4th semester, in a class that was part of the discipline of Epidemiology, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Airton Stein. This class lasted 2 hours in person, and the students were instructed to watch a class depicting an overview of planetary health online, previously available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWNVhlMw_2I. They were divided into 10 small groups, which they chose according to their favorite fruit (pineapple, bergamot, orange, apple or banana)! After making the network diagram, they presented it to the large group.

The students were excited and embraced the task very well! Also worth noting that it was their first face-to-face class after a large period of online class time during the Covid-19 pandemic. They demonstrated engagement and involvement in the simulation, and the teachers and researchers realized the contribution of this academic exercise to having doctors with more empathy and realizing the importance of basic concepts about planetary health. This simulation exercise makes it possible to stimulate the training of future physicians in a person-centered and co-benefit approach to planetary health issues.

Em Maio de 2022, tivemos a oportunidade de refletir e discutir possíveis soluções de uma forma integral a partir de 5 casos clínicos (casos do João, Maria, Mara, Roberto e Selma) com 50 alunos de medicina da Universidade Federal de Ciências da Saúde de Porto Alegre-UFCSPA do 2º ano / 4º semestre, em uma aula a qual fez parte da disciplina de Epidemiologia, à regência do Professor Dr Airton Stein. Esta aula teve duração de 2 horas presencialmente, e os alunos foram orientados a assistirem a uma aula que retrata uma visão geral sobre saúde planetária on-line previamente que consta no endereço https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWNVhlMw_2I. Eles foram divididos em 10 pequenos grupos, os quais escolheram de acordo com suas frutas favoritas (abacaxi, bergamota, laranja, maçã ou banana)! Após a confecção do diagrama de rede, apresentaram para o grande grupo.

Os alunos estavam empolgados e abraçaram muito bem a tarefa! Digno de nota também que foi a primeira aula presencial deles após um grande período de aula on-line durante a pandemia de Covid-19. Eles demonstraram engajamento e envolvimento na simulação, e os professores e pesquisadores perceberam a contribuição desse exercício acadêmico para termos médicos com mais empatia e percebendo a importância de conceitos básicos sobre saúde planetária. Esse exercício de simulação possibilita o estímulo na formação dos futuros médicos numa abordagem centrada na pessoa e no co-benefício nas questões de saúde planetária.
